1. Agreement

By using Boot & Brush (bootandbrush.com) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. Boot & Brush is published by Slate Mill Group; “we” and “us” refer to that publisher throughout.

2. What this content is

Everything here is general information about caring for footwear, compiled from published manufacturer documentation and publicly available sources. It is offered in good faith and researched to the standard described in how we research.

It is not professional advice. We have not tested the products we write about, we do not own them, and we are not qualified to advise on workplace safety, footwear certification, or any medical matter concerning your feet. Where a question touches those areas - a boot that may have been compromised by fuel, for example - consult the manufacturer, your employer’s safety officer, or an appropriate professional.

3. Use at your own risk

Boot care involves chemicals, heat and your own property. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions on any product you buy - those instructions govern, not our summary of them. Test any treatment on a hidden area first.

You are responsible for what you do to your own boots. We are not liable for damage to footwear, property or anything else arising from following information on this site.

4. We are not the retailer

We do not sell anything. Links to retailers are exactly that - links. When you buy something, your contract is with that retailer and their terms, pricing, shipping, returns and warranty policies apply. We have no involvement in the transaction and cannot help with orders, refunds or warranty claims.

5. Accuracy, prices and availability

We take accuracy seriously and cite our sources, but we do not warrant that the content is complete, current or error-free. Manufacturers change specifications and discontinue products without telling us.

Prices shown on this site come from an automated data source and are stamped with the time they were retrieved. They can change at any moment, and a displayed price is not an offer. Always confirm the current price and availability on the retailer’s own page before buying. Where we hold no recent verified price, we show none rather than an old one.

If you find an error, please tell us - we correct pages with a dated note rather than editing silently. See the editorial policy.

6. Intellectual property

The text, structure, scoring criteria and original research on this site belong to Slate Mill Group. You are welcome to quote a reasonable extract with clear attribution and a link to the page. You may not republish pages wholesale, or reproduce the site’s content in bulk, without written permission.

Product names, brand names and logos belong to their respective owners. Referencing a brand does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by it, in either direction. Photography is either licensed stock or supplied by the retailer’s own product feed, and remains the property of its owner.

7. Third-party links

This site links to manufacturer pages, published research and retailers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use this site to break the law, to attempt to interfere with its operation, to scrape it in bulk, or to submit abusive or fraudulent content through the contact form. We may block access where any of that occurs.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

This site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slate Mill Group will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content - including damage to footwear.
